IMSTA Annual Conference 2019 | Healthcare Integration - a collaborative approach

Welcome to IMSTA’s Annual Conference 2019 which will focus on a collaborative approach to Health Care Integration.

This year our Opening Address will be given by Laura Magahy, Executive Director of Sláintecare, the blueprint to overhaul the health service over the next decade. What a challenge Laura faces, so we’re really looking forward to hearing where she’s at after just seven months in office.

Harry Evans from The King’s Fund talk on Digital Health promises to stimulate thinking as will a presentation from the first integrated Academic and Primary Care Centre in Ireland.

The importance of an Industry/Patient Dialogue on community care will be covered by MedTech Europe’s Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy and Bernadette Jackson, a Medical Scientist for the past 38 years, will discuss how Point of Care Testing (POCT) is the future of community-based diagnostic services.

Industry will have it’s say too, Padraig Duff, Commercial Director at TCP Homecare will cover a broad range of industry provided services in the community, which mostly go unreported and without which more emergency department visits and unscheduled hospital stays would occur.
