Post Design Tangle Chapter 4: POWER
Post Design Tangle, chapter 4: Power
8-9 September 2023
Helsinki, Finland
Design often finds itself tasked with constructing an illusion of authority and control—tangible and intangible. What are the boundaries of our agency as visual makers? What forces are enmeshed in, and perpetuated by creative practices, creative work structures and the images we produce and consume?
The fourth chapter, POWER, will take place from 8–9 September 2023 in central Helsinki, Finland, bringing together design thinkers, makers and doers from all over the world for a last tangle. Together with our project partner, Grafia, we will examine and discuss the complex power relations within visual communication.

Additional Information
Spanning two years, four locations, and a patchworked, online hub, the Post Design Tangle is a bind that ties together communities across the Nordics and the digital world; it’s an informal circuit of flashing cables and intimate, in-person conversations.
At the final chapter of the traveling two-year design festival, Post Design Tangle, we will present a handful of the most interesting and progressive visual communicators in the world right now to tackle the entangled reality of design. Besides inspiring talks, the festival will ensure plenty of opportunities to (re)connect with the local design community in Helsinki and to make new connections with our line-up of speakers and the international POST audience.
The Post Design Tangle is generously funded by the Nordic Culture Fund, the Danish Arts Foundation and project partners.
