Timetable: 0830: Welcome coffee, breakfast rolls and registration. 0900 - 17:00: POEMS course.

Course content:

  • The Nature of Anxiety
  • Basic & Advanced communication techniques
  • Anxiety Management in Practice
  • Learning Disabilities & Autistic Spectrum Disorders
  • Paediatric Delirium & Emergence Delirium
  • Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy for children
  • Experimental Hypnosis session (optional)


Food and Drinks: Breakfast rolls and tea & coffe during morning and afternoon breaks. Lunch: hot food with gluten-free and vegan option available - please let us know if you have any food allergies. 

Parking: For those without a parking permit for UHS, please park in the main car park by the Helipad and UHS will provide you with an exit ticket. Please let us know if you need a parking ticket (a minimum of 10 days notice). The cost is £3.50. 

Certificate: The attendees will receive a certificate of attendance accredited with 6CPD points by Royal College of Anaesthetists.
