Pista ng Mapa @ Dumaguete
What is it?
Pista ng Mapa is a free-of-charge outreach activity to generate public interest, and promote the use of open (geo) data and free software, gather and grow enthusiast, users in the public and private sector, and local communities in the Philippines, outside of the capital region Metro Manila.
It is organized by volunteer advocates from the local OpenStreetMap, OSGeo/FOSS4G, and other map-py communities.
Where is it?
The 2019 Pista ng Mapa conference in Dumaguete is hosted by Foundation University, a progressive local university in Central Visayas, known for their strong advocacy for community action, the expansive integration of information technology subjects in their curricula, and modern university facilities.
How much does it cost?
The conference and the technical workshops - including meals and refreshments in the conference are absolutely free.. Participants, however, are expected to shoulder their own travel-related expenses (air tickets, ground transportation, board and lodging.)

What conduct is expected from all participants?
Ideas and information are exchanged most effectively in an atmosphere free of abuse or harassment, and characterized by courtesy and respect. To that end, the Pista ng Mapa organizers expects all attending individuals to conduct themselves in a manner that establishes an atmosphere free from discriminatory practices.
