Public Service Innovation Fund 2023: All You Need To Know
The Public Service Innovation Fund is a competitive fund that aims to support innovative ideas from across public service organisations and turn them into a reality. The fund returns for its fifth iteration in 2023 with €750,000 available to public service bodies with projects valued between €25,000 and €60,000.
This year's categories are as follows:
- Green and Sustainable Initiatives
- Citizen Support Innovation – These projects seek to listen to the needs of the citizen and transform these problems into easy to use solutions.
- Digital Transformation
- Innovative Design of Solutions
Ahead of the application deadline on Friday, 16th December, we are delighted to welcome back two former multiple fund recipients to discuss their experiences with the funding cycle and the transformative nature of the their projects. Also, we will welcome the Intellectual Property Office of Ireland to provide insights into IP supports available for public service bodies:

- Ruth Penney, Criminal Reform and Innovation Lead, Courts Service - Creating Child Distraction Spaces in the Courts Service/JAM Card Programme/360 Virtual 'what to expect' Tour of Courts
- Caitlin Cleary, Freedom of Information Officer, Intellectual Property Office of Ireland
