Spring 2018 Micropython Workshop presented by PyLadies and PDX Python

Micropython!

Come learn with Sev Leonard about the Internet of Things and Micropython in this hands-on hardware tutorial. Beginners are welcome: no soldering or hardware experience required!

We will be building a wifi-enabled temperature sensor as a vehicle for learning IoT concepts including blinking LEDs, data capture, and messaging between IoT clients and servers. We have hardware for you to play with and attendees will be able to program the devices via a locally-hosted web interface. If you plan to attend please see the setup instructions to prepare your system: https://github.com/gizm00/esp8266_micropython_lab

Event Details

The event starts at 10AM and will run until around 3PM. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to get situated.
There will be a 1-hour lunch break, but attendees are responsible for bringing their own lunch or snack.
