Are you an inspiring lyricist, performer or toaster? Toasting is a style of lyrical chanting which in reggae and dancehall music involves a deejay talking over a riddim (rhythm).
Join Dee Bo General and learn how to compose your own lyrics over dub beats!
The workshop forms part of the Let’s Play Vinyl National Tour in partnership with the University of Leicester, Goldsmiths-University of London, Birmingham City University and the University of Huddersfield.

The workshop will take place in The Old Print Works, a Victorian Printing Factory. It can get cold in the factory so please bring a warm jumper. The event takes place upstairs and we have no lift, if you have any access questions please get in touch!
