Minister for Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform, Paschal Donohoe, will launch the new National Open Data Strategy 2023-2027 which lays out the strategic direction for the use of open data to support innovation and transformation in the public and private sectors.
The conference will feature speakers on the policy and strategic context for open data nationally and internationally, including the implications of the EU’s Open Data Directive, high value datasets, and the OECD’s agenda around open and innovative government. It will also showcase publishers and users of open data in sectors including health, housing and environment, and the government’s open data portal.
Open data is about making data held by public bodies available and easily accessible online for reuse and redistribution.
Join us on the 23rd November 9am to 1pm to meet with colleagues interested in, and working with open data, and to learn more about the hot topics and strategic direction for open data in Ireland.
