Companies interested in meeting and/or hiring our graduates can register here for our upcoming Job Fair.

This event was a big success for our last cohort. Several participating companies ended up hiring at least one student; our students also favored companies from the job fair when making their decisions for which job offers to accept.

Our Graduates

Our graduates have a solid understanding of front-end and back-end Web development technologies, including HTML5 and CSS, Javascript (beyond mere jQuery scripting), Ruby with Sinatra and Rails, Git, managing to production environments, automated testing, and many other relevant skills.

They have learned by doing and are comfortable picking up new skills as a job or project warrants. Companies such as Ervin & Smith, Flywheel, Agape Red, Lumosity, and Autodesk have hired our students.

For more information, read Why You Should Hire Our Students by lead instructor Sumeet Jain, and check out a small list of projects past students have worked on.

How It Works

We provide a table for your company, and you are welcome to bring any setup materials and handouts you wish. The event lasts for 2-4 hours, so there is time for meaningful conversations with students.

Since the job fair is held before the students graduate (but well after the students have learned and demonstrated skills), your company can begin its interview or hiring process before other companies have a chance to meet the graduates.

We provide two important services to your company outside of the actual job fair:

  1. We send you detailed profiles and résumés of the students before the job fair; and we provide a similar profile of your company to our students. This helps all parties better understand the pool and approach the event with clear goals in mind.
  2. We provide you with "white glove" service to help identify the best-fitting candidates for your organization.

Recently, Kelly Grace of Volano Solutions wrote the following in an article on Volano's blog:

"The recommendation we received from Omaha Code School Lead Instructor Sumeet Jain for the candidate we hired was detailed and extremely insightful. It went well beyond aptitude but took into account past work experience, projects worked on and most importantly, the thought process and approach to building and problem solving. Though coding was discussed, it was noteworthy how few superlatives were tied to direct coding."

We also list your company on the Omaha Code School website and acknowledge it at the graduation ceremony.

Cost to Participate and Placement Fee

The cost to register for the job fair is $299. Additionally, a placement fee of $1500 is due for each student your company hires. This applies to hires for full-time positions, contract positions, and internships. The placement fee is due within 60 days of the employment or contract start date.

Note: Early Registration ends at midnight on Monday, September 8.
