Who are “the trainers”?

Sequoia McDowell | @_sequoia

Sequoia is a software engineer, educator, and core member of the Nodeschool team with extensive experience teaching Node.js. He has taught Node.js across the country for StrongLoop/IBM. Most recently, he gave a two-day Node.js intensive in San Francisco at FluentConf, O’Reilly’s flagship web conference (all five star reviews, tyvm! :p). He has organized and facilitated numerous Node.js workshops & trainings in this area, both with Nodeschool content and his own curricula. A co-founder and core organizer (emeritus) of Hack for Western Mass as well as co-founder of Noho Webdive (a monthly social get-together for programmers), Sequoia has ample experience organizing events in Western Mass and is a well known figure in the local programming community.

Andrew Pasquale | @apasquale

Andrew has over 15 years of experience programming the internet with many different technologies including javascript. He is an organizer in the regional technology community including Holyoke Codes, Hack for Western Mass, and NERD Summit. He is an enthusiastic educator and teaches courses on a broad range of topics.

Mark Henderson

Mark is thrilled to return to Nodeschool International Day as an instructor. After working in many different industries as a programmer for over a decade, he is now the owner and lead engineer of MRH.io, a technology consultancy focused on web and mobile solutions for clients of all sizes, including startups and non-profits. Given its ubiquitous nature, JavaScript and Node.js are almost always part of any MRH.io project.
