About this Event

Following on from a hugely successful launch event in London earlier this year, our "NearForm Connect" series is back for its second edition.

Exclusively catering to senior tech leaders, influencers and decision-makers, NearForm Connect Dublin will create an atmosphere of open discussion and shared insights that speak to the topic of 'Empowering the Modern Digital Organisation'. 

The agenda promises an engaging morning for all and will include a guest speaker slot, a panel discussion and a Q&A session. You’ll get unique insights and actionable advice from some of the finest minds in the technology sector, along with the chance to build new relationships with tech leaders. 

NearForm Connect Dublin is set under the Chatham House Rule to help encourage inclusive and open dialogue.

As the Chief Digital & Transformation Officer, Dave is responsible for Technology, Data and Cybersecurity at Aer Lingus. He is also in charge of the governance and orchestration of Aer Lingus’ Business Transformation programme. He has extensive experience in extracting business value from digital, data and technology across multiple industries and geographies. 

Jason Barry - Head of Digital Enablement, Permanent TSB

Jason Barry is the Head of Digital Enablement for Permanent TSB, where he drives the bank's digital transformation journey. He’s passionate about the role of technology as an enabler of business opportunity and customer outcomes. 

Eamonn Fallon - CEO, Distilled (Adverts.ie, Daft.ie, DoneDeal.ie & Gumtree.ie)

Eamonn is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Distilled, a digital classifieds business focussed on Ireland. Distilled is the parent company of some of Ireland's most popular online marketplaces such as Adverts.ie, Daft.ie, DoneDeal.ie and Gumtree.ie. Distilled was recently ranked as the no.1 best medium-sized workplace in the 2023 Great Places to Work Awards.

Sonya Hogan - Tech Leader/Educator (NearForm Alumni)

Sonya is a technology leader with over 15 years of experience in the tech industry. She has led development teams as a Delivery Architect, Technical Director and most recently Interim Chief Technical Officer with Nuvion / Fastway. Her latest career move has seen her focus her efforts on nurturing the next generation of technical contributors, as she lectures in Computer Science at South East Technological University (SETU).

David Anderson - Architect, G-P & Author of 'The Value Flywheel Effect'

David is a forward-thinking technology thought leader with more than 25 years of experience in the tech industry. The author (along with Michael O’Reilly and Mark McCann) of ‘The Value Flywheel Effect’, he’s passionate about driving tech strategy and helping organisations along their transformation journeys.

Accelerating Towards Severless-First with the Value Flywheel Effect

Abstract:

Many organisations have migrated to the cloud, but the modernisation journey is the next challenge. Companies must combine business goals with technology goals to maximise time to value and accelerate with the cloud. David will discuss the four phases of the Value Flywheel (finding Clarity of Purpose, Creating a Safe Environment for Challenge, Serverless First and Next Best Action and Long-Term Value with the Well-Architected Framework) and how leaders can use the Wardley Mapping technique to create an effective modern cloud strategy.
