I'm creating a cross platform .NET application, I'm going to use Mono, that's cross platform right?

Yup, and so is .NET core, which is actually better because it's also .NET standard.

Wait, What???

Sound familiar?

Join me for a 60 minute informal talk on what's what in the world of the .NET platform, where I'll try and make sense of all these apparently different puzzle pieces for you, and hopefully the world of .NET will be a happy place again.

Additional Information

Peter Shaw (@shawty_ds) has been hacking away at I.T. since the late 1970’s, still an avid follower of retro computers like the Acorn BBC-B, these days he gets paid to do silly things with silly machines and generally has fun writing and speaking about his exploits. He has been a .NET developer since .NET first hit the scene, and routinely did Delphi, C&C++ MFC and classic VB before that, now a Microsoft Community leader and group manager for a number of different online developer communities.
