Intro
We're bringing talks and workshops to the Midwest US! The US edition of our software testing conference TestBash is heading to Detroit for the first time. TestBash Detroit has been created in partnership with the wonderful Hilary Weaver-Robb.
Training
For the pre-TestBash course, we will be hosting the three-day Automation in Testing course with Richard Bradshaw and Mark Winteringham for the first time in the US. The course will run from 20th-22nd April.
Workshops
23rd April, is a workshop day, with 3 full-day workshops.
Talks
24th April is our conference day in our single track format consisting of 9 talks and, of course, our famously fun 99-second talks.

FAQs
When and where is the conference?
The conference is taking place on the 24th April 2020 at St Andrew's Hall, the talks will start at 9 am, we advise people arrive before then to get seated and a coffee! Talks will end around 5.30pm with an afterparty happening close by.
Note: The workshop venue is different to the conference venue.
Is there a code-of-conduct?
Yes, you can read it here, and it is enforced.
What is MoT Pro?
The Ministry of Testing has an online learning platform called The Dojo which has free and paid for content. The paid content can be unlocked by buying a Pro membership, but additionally, Pro members get $75 off their TestBash and workshop tickets for TestBash Detroit!
What hotels are nearby?
Speakers will be staying at Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center but there are a lot of options closeby.
Do I have to choose my talks in advance?
No, TestBash events are single track, so all the attendees attend all the talks.
Is there a group discount available?
We offer group discounts for groups of 5 or more. If you would like to enquire about this, please email us at detroit@ministryoftesting.com, excludes training courses.
Is there food?
Yes! Lunch will be provided on all event days. Please let us know of any food allergies or dietary requirements as soon as possible after booking.
Payment declined?
We've had a few customers in the past report that their payments get declined. We’ve spoken to our Payments Processor about this, and everything is set up correctly on our side. Usually, it's your bank's fraud detection, and a quick call to the bank, assuring them we're honestly good people, has resolved this for all customers impacted and they've successfully been able to book.
Can I get a refund?
We can refund tickets up to 45 days prior to a TestBash event occurring. 15% admin fee applies to all refunds.
