The Mo Salah Conversation with Amr Awadallah
Have you ever enjoyed a podcast episode so much that you wished you were present during the recording?
Welcome to "The Mo Salah Conversation," a podcast with a live audience joining each episode. I am thrilled to announce that The Mo Salah Conversation will be launched from Cairo on Jan 3.
The inaugural episode of the podcast/event will feature Dr. Amr Awadallah, a computer scientist, founder, and investor.
Amr is an expert in scalable systems, big data, and AI, with over 25 years of experience. He is passionate about improving the future through entrepreneurship. As the CEO and founder of Vectara, a trusted GenAI Platform, he leads a team of talented AI engineers who are developing a platform for business data with the benefits of mitigating hallucinations, bias, copyright infringement, and data privacy.
Before founding Vectara, he worked as the VP of Developer Relations for Google Cloud. In his role, he assisted developers and businesses in harnessing the power of cloud computing. He is also the founder of Cloudera, a leading platform for big data analytics and machine learning. Under his leadership, they pioneered the use of open-source technologies such as Hadoop and Spark. Amr has a PhD in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
The discussion will center around Amr's personal journey from Cairo to his exiting Cloudera for $5B, his experience in Silicon Valley building global products, the world being run by artificial intelligence, and the driving force behind his ongoing mission to change the world.
I am excited about my chat with Amr and look forward to hosting all of you.
The event is scheduled for Jan 3 at 2:30 PM at Kamelizer Spaces in District 5, New Cairo. I thank the Kamelizer Spaces team for hosting us.
