Join us for a warm morning of churros, chocolate, conversation, and connection at Socialty Coffee — a social enterprise in the heart of Madrid where the team is made up of refugees.

This informal gathering is an opportunity to meet the people behind MFR, connect with like-minded people, and hear about our work supporting refugees and migrants in Madrid. Whether you're in the social sector, new to Madrid, or simply curious — you are welcome here.

The session will be hosted by Christina Samson, Founder of Madrid For Refugees, and Meredith Moore, MFR Donations & Community Partnerships Director, and we'll be joined by Marcos Gilligan, Founder of Socialty Coffee. Together they'll share insights about both organizations, followed by open networking and conversation.

Socialty Coffee is a non-profit social enterprise founded by Marcos Gilligan with a simple but powerful mission: real employment opportunities for refugees. In their cozy space on C/ Castelló 5, the team is made up of refugees trained as baristas — offering not just jobs, but a path to rebuilding their lives. Since launching three years ago, they have trained and employed more than 15 refugees. By choosing to meet here, you're already making an impact. ☕🍫

Únete a una mañana de churros, chocolate, conversación y conexión en Socialty Coffee — una empresa social en el corazón de Madrid donde todo el equipo está formado por personas refugiadas.

Este encuentro informal es una oportunidad para conocer al equipo de MFR, conectar con personas afines y descubrir nuestro trabajo apoyando a personas refugiadas y migrantes en Madrid. Tanto si trabajas en el sector social, eres nuevo/a en Madrid, o simplemente tienes curiosidad — eres bienvenido/a.

La sesión estará facilitada por Christina Samson, fundadora de Madrid For Refugees, y Meredith Moore, directora de donaciones y alianzas comunitarias de MFR, y contará con la presencia de Marcos Gilligan, fundador de Socialty Coffee. Juntos compartirán sus experiencias antes de abrir el espacio a networking y conversación libre.

Socialty Coffee es una empresa social sin ánimo de lucro fundada por Marcos Gilligan con una misión simple pero poderosa: crear oportunidades reales de empleo para personas refugiadas. En su acogedor local en C/ Castelló 5, todo el equipo está formado por refugiados formados como baristas — ofreciendo no solo empleo, sino dignidad y un camino para reconstruir sus vidas.
