Leveraging Personnel Surveys for Organizational Impact: Case Studies from the Military
Personnel surveys have long served as foundational tools in organizational research, typically designed to address specific informational needs. However, applied researchers are increasingly finding innovative ways to repurpose survey data and unlock new insights. This presentation explores how large-scale survey efforts within military contexts have been strategically leveraged to inform decision-making, shape policy, and enhance organizational effectiveness. Through a series of case studies, we will examine how survey data has been integrated with other analytic approaches to support leadership across the Department of Defense, offering lessons on maximizing the utility of existing data assets.
