Benefit Blitz Chess Tournament - June 19

On Sunday June 19th 2022 TEACH Madrid is running our 3rd charity blitz chess tournament in partnership with Madrid For Refugees (MFR). This event is open to players of all ages and levels. There will be six rounds in the tournament with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The tournament starts at 5.30pm and will last around 2.5 hours. Buy your tickets in advance as there is limited space!

El domingo 19 de junio de 2022 TEACH Madrid organiza nuestro tercer torneo benéfico de ajedrez relámpago en colaboración con Madrid For Refugees (MFR). Este evento está disponible para jugadores de todas las edades y niveles. El torneo es de seis rondas con premios para el 1º, 2º y 3º lugar. Empezaremos a las 17:30 horas y el torneo durará aproximadamente unas 2,5 horas. Compra tus entradas con antelación, ya que el espacio es limitado.

There will be six rounds in the tournament with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The tournament starts at 5.30pm and will last around 2.5 hours.
Tournament Rules:
- The games will be played on chess clocks and will be ten minutes in total.
- Each player will have five minutes each on their time.
- Pairings will be done on a Swiss system.
- This is not a knockout tournament, you play all six rounds!
- Chess rules apply including touch move, touch take.
- Any problems during the game will be dealt with by the chess arbiter who is hosting the event.
El torneo es de seis rondas con premios para el 1º, 2º y 3º lugar. Empezaremos a las 17:30 horas y el torneo durará aproximadamente unas 2,5 horas.
Reglas del torneo:
- Las partidas se jugarán con relojes de ajedrez y serán de diez minutos en total. Cada jugador dispondrá de cinco minutos.
- Los emparejamientos se harán por sistema suizo.
- No se trata de un torneo por eliminatorias, ¡se tienen que jugar las seis rondas!
- Se aplicarán las reglas del ajedrez
- Cualquier problema durante la partida será resuelto por el árbitro de ajedrez que organiza el evento.
