Refugee Benefit Hike and Yoga- May 5

Hi there! Last year, two leaders of MFR began refugee benefit hikes as a way to use hiking as a way to build solidarity in the community and raise funds for MFR programs that aid refugees in Madrid. We’re continuing the hikes this year, so please join us for the second refugee benefit hike of 2018! We will be 4 guides- Talia, Jaime, Alejandro, and Kenzie. Alice will also be offering an optional yoga session during the hike!

We are leading a hike on Saturday, May 5th in beautiful Cercedilla. The trail we plan to do will be 14 kilometers and is rated as easy-moderate. Our hike is open to everyone of all hiking levels and fitness abilities: we warmly invite individuals, families, and groups of friends! This hike is free but we suggest a donation of 15 euro per person, as 100% of contributions will go directly to MFR programs. The day includes a guided hike in Cercedilla, a simple trail lunch, a yoga session, and more importantly, the knowledge that your fun excursion is making an immediate difference in the lives of children and families who are starting over in Madrid.

We must disclose that we are not certified guides and we can't provide insurance or transportation. What we can guarantee is a fun and informative day where we’ll share our experiences volunteering with Madrid for Refugees and what we've learned are the best ways to help. Come meet awesome people in an inclusive environment and enjoy a day away from the city in the stunning nature outside Madrid.
