LumaFusion for Filmmakers
The purpose of this course is to put into practice editing workflows in an experiential learning environment focused on filmmaking using LumaFusion. It will help you put into practice more advanced workflows in an experiential learning environment.
This course spans eight consecutive weekdays. Each session is two and a half hours long and features live hands on instruction with Courtney G. Jones, an experienced Hollywood filmmaker and certified LumaFusion trainer.
In this course, Courtney will show you how to use LumaFusion for cinematic storytelling. Through lectures, hands-on activity, Q&A, and peer reviews we'll cover the following topics:
- How to use LumaFusion to create a feature film, commercial, series, or documentary
- Creating layers to stack video to create b-roll, graphics, and other multilayered visuals
- Strategies for using green screen effectively
- Learning how to us the Photos and Files Apps for media management
- Determining the right frame rates for your project
- Selecting the right aspect Ratio
- Understanding the difference between HDR and Dolby Vision
- Learning how to incorporate B-Roll into your projects
- Knowing how to work with audio and voice over
- How Frame.io can increase collaboration with reviewers
- Understanding how Storyblocks can be a useful third-party media library
- Creating titles and graphics
- Making use of LUTs on your footage
This course is for entry level to intermediate video editors.
Whether you're interested in making a documentary about a historical event or creating a fictional story, this course will help you bring your idea to life.
