Ladies that UX London presents Design Leadership
At this month's Ladies that UX London event we have a panel discussion for design leadership. This is our 5th year running this popular event!
The transition from a designer to a leadership role is hard for many designers. We might spend more time having meetings with executive level than hand-crafting the design. We might face a lot of anxiety and emotional challenges to make a decision that impacts the whole organisation. We might need to lead a team without much prior people management experience.
We will have 3 influential leaders in the industry to talk about their experiences and challenges they have faced. This will prepare you for the situations you might face, inspire your leadership style and accelerate your career development.
Foolproof’s Amy Shore, a senior UX consultant, will chair the discussion and explore:
What advice these leaders wish they had been given when they were younger
Mistakes they have made along the way and how it has made them better leaders
What lessons can be taken going forward as a leader
How to overcome past challenges to lead better
