Edinburgh Junior Congress

This season, the Edinburgh Junior Congress will be a qualifier for Scotland's national Junior Chess Competition - Chess for Kicks.

The competitions are split by grading and age.

As well as the full day events, Lothian Junior Chess are also running a 'Taster Tournament'. This will be a miniature version of the main event, with just three rounds of games from 1pm. This is targeted at younger children who have never played in a full tournament (you are welcome to come back if you've played our previous taster day event) before and who feel that to start straight into a six round event might be too big a first step.

For everyone else - the event starts at 9:15am, with prize giving ending around 4:30pm.

For this event we are using online entries - this should ease congestion at the registration desk. You need to select your tickets, enter your payment details to pay and then provide information about the child (or children!) that you have entered.

Late entries (after 11pm on Monday the 2nd of October) is £10.
