What to expect
Join us in November for lunch and a soundscape session! 🔊🥙
Local Welcome brings people together through food - and this time, through your stories too.
You'll cook and share a meal from start to finish - from chopping vegetables to washing up. Everyone brings their own stories and experiences. Some people have lived locally all their lives, and some are new to the area.
Here's how it works: We'll ask you a few simple questions about what 'home' means to you, and what makes you feel welcome. We'll record your voice, and later those recordings will be layered together with music and translations to create a vocal collage. This piece will help share the experiences of people in our community 🧡
Taking part in the recordings is completely optional. And of course, we'll be cooking and eating together!
