Local Welcome meals in Leicester
Local Welcome is collaborating with Re. Future Collective
As part of our project with The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we've teamed up with Re. Future Collective to provide our groups with the opportunity to explore and share their heritage through art.
Re. Future Collective will be running screen printing workshop, exploring the heritage of the Leicester City Centre. This workshop is open to all - no previous experience or knowledge necessary!
We'll also be running an optional heritage walk before lunch and the workshop. The walk will visit monuments/buildings around Leicester to use as inspiration for the screen printing. If you'd like to take part in this, please arrive at YMCA (by the doors of the Y Theatre) at 12:20pm. The walking group will leave at 12:30pm.
Please email events@local-welcome.org after booking your ticket to confirm if you'd like to go on the walk.

More about Local Welcome
Please note: although lunch will be provided, you will be learning how to screen print rather than cooking a meal from scratch at this Local Welcome event.
In a divided world, Local Welcome uses the magic of food to bring communities together.
You’ll cook and eat a meal from scratch, with other awesome people, like you - some born in your local area, some new, some seeking sanctuary, or refugees.
It’s a great way to translate your values into action, make new friends, and learn delicious healthy recipes.
You might start cooking with strangers, but you’ll end up eating with friends.
📢 Before you book, please note:
We’ve released our new donate-what-you-can membership model. You can learn more about his here.
