Design is a complicated process. Many moving parts that constantly need to be monitored and updated. One of these many parts that is often overlooked and not properly dealt with is the explaining of our ideas, telling the story of our work. To help us think and talk about this subject we have invited two speakers whose work is deeply immersed in storytelling. Niall O hOisin of Noho.ie and Tom O'Rahilly the creator and owner of The National Leprechaun Museum.

Noho

Niall is founder and Managing Director of Noho. Noho are specialist producers of captivating digital experiences for museum, corporate, and broadcast clients.

Niall studied History and History of Art in UCD before training in computer animation and graphics. Niall began working in the Post Production industry in 1994 and has been at the forefront of the computer graphics industry in Ireland for the past 20 years, working in Screenscene (Head of 3D) and The Farm (Head of Graphics) before setting up Noho.

Niall combines his technical and creative background in broadcast graphics, commercials and animation with his training and interest in history and history of Art.

Niall is a founding member of the FP7-funded Virtual Museum Transnational Network (V-MusT); a European network of museum professionals, researchers and content providers. He also takes an active part in the Virtual Heritage Network in Ireland.

The National Leprechaun Museum

Tom O’Rahilly set up the National Leprechaun Museum in 2010. It employs 17 people and has over 100 k visitors per annum. Before setting up the museum he worked in 3D design. He is a graduate of NCAD

Currently he is developing a community storytelling project.
