IxDD 2022 - Designing for the fundamentals of Web3

IxDA Sydney will be hosting this session at the Helix Collective offices in Redfern. In this session we'll be hearing from Helix's very own design capability lead, Sam Hancock. Sam will be taking you through the fundamentals of designing for web3, and how we should be learning from the perspectives of Web2.

There's currently a lot of hype within the web3 space - some of it good, a lot bad! We'll be unpacking the following themes:

• A short history of Web1 and Web2 — what have we learnt from the core fundamentals of the last 20 years.
• A brief explanation of web3 and why it's a lot more than just 'ape cartoons'.
• Web3 is hype and buzzwords (NFTs, Crypto, 'On-chain', tokens, 'the MetaVerse' etc), once this is realised, our perspectives and the way we interact with products and services will change.
• Where web3 needs to improve to be widely adopted, and WHY there needs to be a shift change in how we interact with services and products.

Later in the session, we'll be introducing you to the views and perspectives of a product triad that has been working in the web3 trenches for the past 18 months.
