The Road to Your Success in Grant Writing

The Israel Academy of Ministry is going to continue its series on fundraising. This September, we would like to invite you to our new course in this series focusing on the topic of grant writing. Grants are very generous gifts but require a lot of work and many times a formal application process that most leaders are not familiar with.

This course will provide you with an understanding of grant writing, will give you insights into the grantor psychology, and help you to do your own independent grant research. During the course, all students will write their own individual grant, keeping the goal in mind that one of our students will be selected as the winner of a real grant that is being offered.

Our guest instructor for this course will be Jennifer Fretz-Smith, who’s calling in life is to see individuals, for profit and nonprofit organizations, all find their full purpose. Jennifer has over 25 years of experience in strategic business development, grant consulting, and human resource management. She has managed programs with over 2200 volunteers for community service engagement and received and managed grants up to $3,000,000.00. Her motto is “Focus on serving the mission and the rest will be taken care of.”

This course will be hosted September 9-12, 2019 from 5:00pm to 8:30pm in the Celebration Center in the Clal Building at 97 Jaffa Road in Jerusalem. In addition to our evening classes, Jennifer will be available for one hour long, private one-on-one meetings with students that register. As we can only offer a limited amount of meetings, this will be operated on a first come, first serve basis. After completing registration and payment, students will be provided with a link to sign up online for one-on-one meetings with Jennifer during September 9-12, 2019. Each ministry or congregation can only sign up for one meeting, however, you are able to include a group of leaders from your ministry. Please note that translation will be offered for the class, but we cannot offer translation for the private meetings.

The sessions will be taught in English; Hebrew translation will be available. The sessions will be taught in English; Hebrew translation will be available. Translation into other languages like Arabic or Russian can be arranged. Please contact us for more information prior your registration.
