Evening of Stories with Hans Florine

Join Yosemite climber Hans Florine for an evening of stories, adventure and inspiration!

From the big walls of Yosemite National Park, to expeditions on Mount Kenya and the wild terrain of Papua New Guinea, Hans brings decades of experience to life through stunning images, video, and storytelling.

Expect tales of speed records, partnership, risk, and moments that have defined a life of climbing.

The talk will run for roughly an hour, followed by a Q&A session.

Hans Florine won the first International Speed Climbing Championships in 1991, and has held the US title eleven times. He won the ESPN X Games the first three years in a row, and has broken the speed record on The Nose Route on El Capitan 8 times over the past 27 years. 

In 2003, Hans co-authored the book “Speed Climbing”, and later co-authored “On The Nose,” which marks his 100th ascent of The Nose. In 2016 Hans was inducted into the California Outdoor Hall of Fame. He holds a BS in Economics with minors in Production Operations and Human resources, and is the father to a 25 year old girl and 23 year old boy.
