IrishPF Bench-Only Nationals 2026
The Irish Powerlifting Federation’s Bench-Only Nationals 2026 will take place in Castletroy Park Hotel, Limerick as a joint event with the University Championships on the 7th/8th of March, 2026.
Entry Requirements
- Top 3 Bench Presses from each weight class will be invited
- Remaining tickets will be put on general sale on Sunday 21st December to all lifters with an IrishPF 2026 membership, and you must have competed with the IrishPF in the qualifying period.
- Qualifying Period : Open Nats 2024 - Dec Open 2025.

Competition Format
- Podium (1st, 2nd, 3rd) for each Weight Class [Open and SubJunior]
- Overall Best Lifters by IPF GL points
- Age categories: Open, Sub Junior
- You can set IrishPF Bench Only National Records (if eligible). Chips may be used in Open or Sub Junior Records, Junior and Masters records can be broken to the nearest 2.5kg increment.

- Full IPF Anti-Doping procedures will be in action
- All personal equipment must be on the IPF approved list, see here for more details.
- Please familiarise yourself with the standards of lifting in the IPF Technical Rulebook.
- Venue: Castletroy Park Hotel, Limerick
- Dates: March 7th/8th, 2025. Day will be confirmed along with flight splits depending on demand for Bench Nationals and University Championships.
- Bench-Only Nationals Athlete Entry Fee: €55.00 includes entry, anti-doping fee, and official Competition T-Shirt
- Coach Entry Fee: Will be confirmed & released at a later date
- You must complete the Entry Form after completing your purchase by clicking "Assign This Ticket"
- Final deadline for completing entry forms will be Fri January 30th at 23:00 Irish time
- You will not be able to change your weight class or club after this time
- Flight splits (i.e. “what flight am I in?”) will be confirmed by Wednesday 4th February.
