Cooler Clinics June: Audio Engineer AMA with Nora Steiner
Each month, Improvised Music Company hosts Cooler Clinic CPD events at The Cooler at The Complex or online. On June 14th we’re tuning in to audio with Cooler Clinics: AMA - Audio Engineer Edition, a hands-on drop-in session with IMC resident Audio Engineer and Cooler Production Manager Nora Steiner.
This session is all about helping artists make the most of their sound - whether on stage or in the studio. If you've only performed acoustically, never worked with a sound engineer, or are curious about live electronics, this is a chance to get real-world advice on live performance basics, mic technique, managing feedback, and what gear setup you actually need to hit your goals.
Thinking about recording your own material? We’ll also share starter tips for home recording, making usable demos, and getting to grips with your DAW. We’ll help you take the first steps into Mixing with confidence.
It’s a relaxed, informal opportunity to ask any questions you have about sound - no matter how big or small.
As always, there is also the option to have a consultation with a member of the IMC team. These one-to-one conversations can be on any topic of concern or interest, from touring to releasing music to funding applications, so feel free to drop in with questions in any area that you think we might be able to help on.
Attendance is free, but registration is required. Sign up now to reserve your spot!
