livestream: Google IO 2016

N for Nutella?

Google I/O 2016 will be held from Wednesday 18th to Friday 20th May. Many of its exciting sessions will be broadcast in real-time, and we’d like you to come watch some of the livestreams with us!

The big news expected out of the 3-day developer conference is the next major update to Android, the company’s mobile operating system. There’s also some excitement around what the confectionary nickname for Android ’N’ (or Android 7.0) might be!

A key highlight for many observers will be Google's update on virtual reality. The company demonstrated its interest and expertise in this space quite early in the game and, for the 2016 conference, Google promises to unveil its “Vision for VR” in terms of where the company is headed.

With this being the first developer conference after Google became a subsidiary under Alphabet, we’re also interested to see whether the format will differ from past events.

We’ll be streaming selected sessions on both Wednesday and Thursday, so you can take your pick! Note that you'll need to enter your details separately for each event.

Sign up for the main keynote on Wednesday session (starting at 7pm) or 2 more detailed back-to-back streams on Thursday (starting at 6pm). Details below!
