livestream: Apple WWDC 2016 Keynote

print("Hello, WWDC16.")

Apple’s annual developer conference takes place from Monday 13 to Friday 17 June 2016. And while some of our team are in attendance in San Francisco, the main keynote event will be livestreamed here at our home in Durban, South Africa.

WWDC16

At this year’s WWDC, many tech enthusiasts are interested to hear more about Apple’s plans with Siri. Microsoft made a huge (but obvious) leap forward with their introduction of their Bot Framework at their developer conference a few months back – a breakthrough that many expected from Apple first – and we’re interested to see Apple’s response.

The virtual assistant is expected to make an appearance on Mac for the first time and will hopefully have access to your apps – making it far more useful to your daily tasks.

The features for iOS 10 will likely be announced, with many iDevice users holding thumbs for the ability to hide some of Apple’s more niche apps like Stocks and Videos, and to annotate your photos.

And with more progress anticipated on watchOS, tvOS and Apple Music, iOS developers and Apple consumers around the world are sure to have some exciting new developments to look out for.

On Monday, we’ll be broadcasting the WWDC keynote, the main event of the conference, in which Apple’s leadership team share what the company has been working on over the past year. Come join us for the livestream!
