Supergrevet Distanzradfahrt Mailand München 2027

This newly reimagined edition of the long-distance cycling event, first held in 1894, pays tribute to the pioneers who conquered the Alps on steel frames and unpaved roads. The original winner, Josef Fischer, completed the ride from Milan to Munich in little more than 31 hours – long before tarmac roads, carbon frames or GPS devices existed. It was, in every sense, a gravel event avant la lettre.

Supergrevet Milan–Munich revives that spirit of raw endurance and discovery, connecting two iconic cities and their cycling cultures across one of Europe’s most spectacular mountain crossings. From the sunlit plains of Lombardy to the high alpine passes of Tyrol and the rolling Bavarian foothills, this route invites today’s riders to experience the essence of the original Distanzradfahrt – self-reliant, demanding, and deeply human.
