Alexis Southall: Start Your Day The Pilates Way
Join Alexis as she takes you through a series of Pilates-based exercises to prepare your body for the day ahead. Wake up your core, find your spine in good alignment and feel the length and strength in your muscles. Pilates is a full body work out and the perfect complement to a day full of dance. We’ll begin gently and options will be available to increase the difficulty as we go. Make sure you have an exercise mat (you may also wish to have yoga blocks and straps nearby if you wish, but these aren’t essential), and I’ll bring a Gothla-appropriate playlist for us to move to!

Fuchsia: Intention - The “How and Why?” Of Our Dance
The 'how' and 'why' of our dance - how can our intention make us look stronger, more confident and embody our dance? In this workshop we will be looking at how our intention can change a performance; how a dance can look and feel completely different, even with the same music and moves. Using choreographed combinations, with a few short improvised opportunities, we'll explore how this can be utilised not just in performance, but in your personal practice too.
|2:15pm – 3:15pm||
Dud: Dark Groove With A Viking Vibe (Open)
Dark-groove flow/drill training with drama. We will be working with a mix of dance moves from both old school Tribal Fusion as well as grounded Ghawazee / Afro style technique. The main focus is first finding your own grounded core - and from there work our way into viking powered combos with heavy bounces, kicks and punches - and of course dark expressions. The combos we work on, will also have room for your own creativity and expressions so prepare to release your inner Viking!. The playlist will be with lots of heavy drums, viking inspired / dark new age. This workshop is meant to give you inspiration for working with your dark moves and expressions from deep inside your core and also inspiration to create your own dark tribal combos with power

Ida & Max: The Red Workout
Your soul may be dark enough for Bloody Valentine, but is your body fit enough? In this hemoglobin-heavy workout session, Ida CARRIES your fitness level to the Max (who will be also present as her rotting sidekick). Bathed in hellish light and bloody awesome red-outfits, we will work out like no one ever worked out for Valentine’s Day before!
So prepare your favourite costumes in fifty shades of red and make enough space for some serious move-sets, because we will work up blood, sweat and more blood to hard, heavy & fun tunes. As we don’t want to end in a real bloodbath like some other red event you might have read about, please also prepare your yoga mat for some healthy stretching towards the end. Also, bring towels. And maybe a hose and a bucket. You never know…

Princess Farhana: Stage Sorcery - Performance Prep For Dark Artists
The difference between a good performance and a show that leaves the audience dead lies in the dancer’s abilities to transport the audience to another realm. This workshop explores the fine details for creating jaw-dropping shows, whether live or virtual.
We’ll go over everything you need to know to build a stunning show, from lighting, costume and makeup tricks to body language, narrative, stage presence and pacing. You’ll learn how to create exciting, dramatic, multi-layered dance sets OR how to enhance an existing piece. You’ll find out how to channel pre-show jitters and on-stage adrenalin surges into a textured, compelling performance that will have the entire crowd fall under your spell.
