Join Doe’s Glamour Ghoul School in a powerful and haunting burlesque-fusion piece to be performed in the Gothla 20th edition theatre show!
Set to “Desire” by Meg Myers; and whilst there won’t be any intimate relations with ghosts (sorry), the routine will be a collision of raw emotion and Doe’s signature dark glamour.
The routine will feature an Elvira style tassel twirling finale. Dancers can choose between a full burlesque nipple tassel reveal (goodbye bra!), or an adaptation with the pasties attached to clothing. All dancers will receive a pair of handmade Kiki Kandy Custom Pasties to keep, included in the workshop price, all body shapes and sizes catered for, all genders welcome.
Pasties are included within the workshop price, along with your theatre show ticket.
Learning: Video tutorial will be provided atleast 4 weeks before the festival, along with costume information. All attendees will need to have learned the material in advance as festival rehearsals will focus on finessing and cleaning the movement and working on staging for the show.
This workshop includes a showback opportunity for the main theatre show on Friday evening (10th July)
A show ticket is included in this ticket
Once you've booked, contact doedemure@gmail.com to order your Glamour Ghoul pasties. Choose bats, snakes or spiders. They are included in the ticket price
Because the pasties need to be ordered, bookings will close 4 weeks before the festival - don’t wait until the last minute!

AnimA Shadows meets the sword. This intensive blends the signature AnimA Shadows vocabulary with the expressive power of sword dance. We’ll explore how to embody presence, sculpt the air with the blade, and move with both precision and emotion - as if the sword were an extension of your shadow. Through atmospheric combinations and deep movement work, we’ll shape a performance-ready piece charged with mystery, strength, and silence. The workshop includes the option to perform during the event for those who join the full intensive.
Level: Open - beginners welcome!
In secret places deep within the labyrinth of megacities, the shrines of ancient goddesses still remain. Where once there was incense and jade, now there is neon and chrome. What remains is their sacred grace and feminine power, which endure through the ages in their eternal dances. Join Ida for this radiant showback choreography where archaic art meets cyberpunk, driven by sculptural body lines, rhythmic foot patterns, enchanting mudras arm pathways, elaborate isolations and profound musicality.
Level: Open - beginners welcome!
In this session, we will build on the AnimA technique learned in part I, drill, and explore staging so we are ready to “kill it” on the Open Stage.
Can only be taken in conjunction with Part I.
Level: Open - beginners welcome!
In this training, inspired by the ancient temple dances of the Far East - from the delicacy of Indonesia to the majesty of China - we will explore movements and postures from various Eastern artistic disciplines. We will work on balances, mudras (symbolic hand gestures), open, closed, and crossed leg positions, as well as elegant arm placements, changes in speed, and fluid transitions. All of this will be integrated into sequences that evoke the harmony and mysticism of cultures where dancers were the link between the earthly and the divine. As a complement, we will practice Qi Gong Dance, fusing dance and martial arts to unite two distinct ways of working the body that, despite their differences, share technical principles. We will seek to balance the grace and fluidity of dance with the precision and strength of martial arts, and inspiration from animal forms.
Level: Intermediate
Improv Team Sync
This is fun a and diverse style, which has its roots in American Tribal Style and is the brain child of Amy Sigil (USA), who mixed her team player ethos with a variety of dance styles, such as hula and hip hop!
After a short warm up, we’ll dive straight into the technique from the level 1 & 2 vocabulary; we’ve got a lot to get through! Technique is important and we’ll go over it; however, I really want to create the joy and community spirit that dancing together in the moment can bring. Improv is the essence of any dance form and and nothing to be scared off; on the contrary, it can be quite liberating! Costuming is simple: (Black) jeans, any belt and a top with a shrug or whatever you are wearing at the time :)
Level: Open - beginners welcome!
Step into a smoky world where burlesque glamour meets gritty psychobilly! Doe will guide you through the art of feather fan dance; learn how to hold yourself with burlesque poise and master elegant clean feather fan techniques. We’ll combine classic fan work and fusion bellydance with a tickle of wild psychobilly energy!
Bring (or borrow) your own feather fans or buy a ticket with fan hire for a small fee to avoid the extra luggage.
Level: Open, suitable for adventurous beginners and experienced dancers alike
The Open Stage: Come and support the Show-backs and participants and Par-Tay!
Doors open 8:00pm, show starts at 8:30!

Improv Team Sync
This is fun a and diverse style, which has its roots in American Tribal Style and is the brain child of Amy Sigil (USA), who mixed her team player ethos with a variety of dance styles, such as hula and hip hop!
After a short warm up, we’ll check in with our energy levels; we have plenty of choice! After the Saturday party, we will review some of the slower, but immensely powerful and hypnotic moves and combinations!
We will also introduce some of the signature formations and how to transition from one to another - come to the dark side and play ;p
Level: Open - beginners welcome!
Ida brings you her current favourite combos – a technique driven workshop that, at the same time, celebrates pure joy of dancing. Dive deep into Ida’s unique stylization with contrasting dynamics, enchanting arm pathways, challenging layers and creative surprises in Ida's very own signature moves!

Minimal. Precise. Unshakable. This is the art of making less feel like more - of creating presence through clarity, stillness, and control. We’ll work with deep muscular precision and micro-tension. Brief, exact, and mesmerizing - each movement becomes a spell of its own. No excess. No blur. Only embodied sharpness and silent power. Expect refinement, awareness, and a presence that speaks without needing to shout.
Level: Open - beginners welcome!
Dance is connection in motion, a conversation with the world around us through our bodies. Witchcraft is the practice of engaging our own power to influence ourselves and our environment, in communion with the seen and unseen worlds. When we combine movement and magic, we truly tap into the art and practice of dance craft.
In this masterclass, we will explore the 5 symbolic systems of Witch’s Anatomy (Lungs, Heart, Serpent, Bones & Weaver) which aid you in building interconnectivity on stage, tapping into your personal rhythm and style, strengthening improvisation and intuitive skills, and recognizing both your roots and creative potential - overall imbuing your dance with passion, power and authenticity.
Step outside of the realm of choreography and become the creatrix of your own dance journey with the guidance of one of the original pioneers of dark fusion and mythic dance.
Level: Open - beginners welcome!
