Albany are a two-piece instrumental progressive rock band from Dundee, featuring guitarist Jamie Cruickshank and drummer Jack Guyan (both aged 15).

Having played together for around five years, the boys decided to form the band in late 2017. Despite having only two members, Albany makes use of multiple amps and pedals to create a larger sound that one wouldn’t normally associate with a two-piece band.

They have performed in various local clubs and bars including Dundee’s ‘Almost Blue’ festival in July 2018. Albany have also just finished their first EP through YMI (youth music initiative) at Gardyne College.
