GitHub Town Hall: Open Source and the Enterprise

open source

Open source has evolved considerably in the past 16 years. What was once considered a highly revolutionary movement has gone more mainstream and into new contexts.

Today many businesses are experimenting with open source, both by maintaining open source projects and by internalizing open source workflows. Adopting open source tools in a corporate context often presents a steep learning curve, however. Implementation isn't straightforward, and cultural changes can be long-term and tedious.

Join us on May 28 from 5-9 PM for a town hall-style event at GitHub HQ where we'll discuss these topics and explore open source in the Enterprise.

Speakers will include:

  • Dominik Tornow, SAP

  • Chris Aniszczyk, Twitter

  • Nate McWherter, GE

  • Kurt Chase, AutoDesk

Moderated by Eric Knorr, Editor In Chief of InfoWorld.

This event will be streamed at http://www.livestream.com/githubpub.
