Global Diversity CFP Day Prague 2020

Are you a member of an underrepresented or marginalised group? Have you always wanted to become a tech conference speaker? Let 2020 be the year that you make that dream a reality!

Sign up for our Prague workshop that will take place on Saturday, January 18th 2020.

Each workshop will have experienced speakers on hand to:

  • Give you a warm, inclusive welcome in a safe space (check out our Code of Conduct which all participants must adhere to) https://www.globaldiversitycfpday.com/code-of-conduct
  • Mentor you with your proposal provide speaking advice and share their enthusiasm to get you to the stage!

What you can expect in Prague?

You will be working individually or in small groups (up to 5 people) with mentors. You will draft your talk proposal and bio. Speakers will share their best practices and advice with you. We will provide paper and pen. You could bring your laptop.

Food (vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free) and beverages (water, coffee, tea, soft drinks) will be available throughout the day.

  • 13:30 - Online Session: Your perfect tech talk from Saron Yitbarek
  • 13:45 - Proposal Writing + feedback with mentors
  • 14:15 - Session: What I learned from my first speaking experience by Vojtěch Mádr
  • 14:30 - Online Session: The Art of Slide Design by Melinda Seckington
  • 14:50 - Proposal Writing + feedback with mentors
  • 15:30 - Online Session: The day of your talk by Jessica Rose
