- Conference Days: 18–19 September 2025
- Ruby Safari: Saturday, 20 September 2025, 09:00–13:30 — a guided walking tour around Viana do Castelo, exploring local gems and hidden spots. This is an optional complementary activity.
Getting There
- Nearest Airport: Porto Airport (OPO) is the most convenient international gateway to Viana do Castelo.
- From Porto to Viana: Regular intercity buses run from Porto’s bus station (near the airport) directly to Viana do Castelo (journey ~1h ).
- Airport buses: there are bus options from OPO airport directly to Viana do Castelo Center with good prices (from 4 to 10€ each journey) from Rede Expressos
- Shuttle Transfer: We will organize free group transfers:
September 17 - Porto Airport to Viana Departure from Airport (Gate A Arrivals): • 10:00 AM - 64 seats • 1:30 PM - 64 seats • 7:00 PM - 64 seats
September 20 - Viana to Porto Airport Departure from Cultural Center parking: • 9:30 AM - 64 seats • 1:00 PM - 64 seats • 5:00 PM - 29 seats

- Where to Stay: There are dozens of hotels, guesthouses, and B&Bs within easy walking distance of the venue.
- Suggestion: If searching in a platform such as Booking, add this address to find locations near the venue: "Centro Cultural de Viana do Castelo" or use this link as reference. Any place up to 1km or so away should be comfortable to walk.

- Venue: The conference venue is fully wheelchair accessible, with flat-level floors, an elevator, and accessible restrooms throughout.

- Ruby Safari: The tour takes place in Viana do Castelo’s mostly flat historic center. Minor obstacles like cobblestones or narrow sidewalks may require assistance. The final stop is a hilltop viewpoint accessible via a wheelchair-friendly funicular elevator.
- Shuttle Transfers: Accessibility details for the complimentary Porto ↔ Viana shuttle buses are not yet confirmed. We’ll share updates as soon as we have more information.
