EuRuKo 2024
EuRuKo (European Ruby Konferenz) is the largest and longest running annual Ruby conference in Europe, since 2003, that brings you all the good news about Ruby and its friends. Every year it takes place in a different European city, the location being chosen by participants.
EuRuKo 2024 will be held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The first-ever Ruby conference in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held in person, both for participants and speakers. We will not plan to provide a stream, but we will record all sessions and publish them afterwards on EuRuKo's official youtube channel.

EuRuKo 2024 is planned to be a in-person conference
We will optimize primarily for in-person participants and will not plan to provide a stream We will also record all sessions and upload the talks to YouTube at a later time, after the conference is completed.
Ticket Prices
All tickets are defined as a donation box type, with a minimum value provided and the suggested value selected. It's up to you how much you want to support the conference.
Pay the suggested value, give yourself a discount if you can only afford less or support us in reaching our goals by increasing the donation amount. You are in control.
Refund Policy
All sales are final and no refunds will be offered to participants who cancel. You can transfer your ticket to someone else at your own responsibility.

Ruby Committers
Ruby core team members are invited to EuRuKo 2024. Please follow the instruction that we sent to ruby-core mailing list.
Speakers
EuRuKo 2024 speakers will get free admission to EuRuKo 2024. Our team will reach out to you and send you an invitation to the networking platform.
Sponsors
Our sponsorship package includes invitation tickets. Our team will reach out to your company representatives and arrange invitations to the networking platform for the tickets purchased as part of the sponsorship package.
Diversity Ticket Program
As part of this year's conference, we want to offer a diversity ticket program, mainly through limited number of in person and online tickets available for members of historically marginalized or under-represented communities. Please note that in-person tickets do not include travel or accommodation and our budget only allows us to give away a limited number of in-person tickets.
If you want to participate in our diversity ticket program, you can apply here . We will not share your personal information nor give you a special ticket, you will get a regular individual participant ticket for the conference if selected, indistinguishable from anyone else's.
Students & Unemployed
We will also offer student/unemployed tickets at a later date at a much lower and affordable price, as would be expected for a student/unemployed ticket, or possibly even for free depending on our budget. We will need proof of unemployment or enrollment to unlock the ticket.

Social Events
TBA. As part of the conference program, if we get enough sponsor support or room in our budget in general, we want to organize parties or additional (networking) activities to make this a memorable experience for everyone.
Lunch options
As part of the suggested ticket price calculation (not minimum) we have implemented a potential to cover lunch and coffee breaks for all participants for all 3 days of the conference. If our budget allows it, that is what we will do.
If we don't manage to do that, however, you are in good hands. The venue offers catering for up to 800 people at once. Vegan, vegetarian and meat (halal certified) options are available for all in person participants. There are also nearby alternatives which are very affordable.
Accommodation
As guests of the conference, you will receive a discount for accommodation in hotels Hills (€80+) and Hollywood (€60+) and if you book accommodation at these hotels, you will get full access to their thermal spa offer, as mentioned in the form on the links below.

Childcare
We don't have plans to provide a childcare program. However, the hotel is a family friendly location with plenty activities suitable for children. If you have a genuine need for this, please reach out and we will see what is the best way we can support you.
