About the Workshop
The workshop represents one stage of our consultation process to inform the development of the EPA Research Strategy 2030 and will provide a means to obtain input from key stakeholders.
The event will include presentations and discussions with the EPA, the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications; Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government, National Parks and Wildlife Service, and a number of EPA funded researchers.
There will be opportunities to network, communicate with fellow attendees, and participate in polling and Q&A sessions.

Aim of the Workshop
The main objective of the workshop is to discuss the key research priorities for 2021-2023 to be considered by the EPA Research 2030 Programme under its four proposed interconnected Research Hubs:
- Addressing the Climate Change Evidence Needs
- Delivering a Healthy Environment
- Protecting and Restoring our Natural Environment
- Facilitating a Green and Circular Economy
The identified priorities will inform the preparation of the Annual EPA Research Calls.
Who should attend?
Key stakeholders from all sectors of the research community, policymakers, relevant agencies/bodies, non-governmental organisations, and members of the public who live or are based on the island of Ireland are invited to register for this ‘Free’ online event.
