Circular Economy Conference 2022
The EPA’s national Circular Economy Conference will be held at the Aviva Stadium on 22nd September (9:30 to 17:00). The event will also be live-streamed via a web-based app.
Online delegates can access the event programme on tablets, laptops, or desktop devices.
This hybrid event will be an opportunity to learn about recent developments in the circular economy and the opportunities and challenges in implementing a circular economy in Ireland. There will be opportunities to network and participate in polling and Q&A sessions.
The programme is now finalised. Please see below some of the great topics and organisations that we will have at this year's conference. The programme consists of four sessions:
- Setting the scene - featuring EPA DG Laura Burke, Minister Ossian Smyth and representatives from government departments implementing circular economy and bioeconomy policy;
- Measurement Matters – with presentations on indicators for circular economy, food waste statistics and food waste measurement, featuring Irish and European speakers including the OECD and Finnish Environment Institute SKYE;
- Regulation for Circularity – including an EU perspective on end of waste, an EPA presentation on developing national criteria for construction-based materials and an Irish case study on end of waste for plastics;
- Circular Solutions - where we will hear from organisations implementing circular economy business models.
