EIH Level 2 Coaching Course- Nottingham
The England Ice Hockey Level 2 Coaching Course is designed for aspiring coaches ready to take the next step in their development. This programme builds the skills and confidence needed to independently lead high‑quality training sessions, support player development, and mentor Level 1 coaches within a club environment.
Participants will learn to deliver structured, progressive coaching sessions, plan effectively to meet player needs, and ensure safe, purposeful on‑ice activity. The course also strengthens leadership skills, preparing coaches to guide and support developing coaches within their team or club.
Entry Requirements
- Age 18 or older on the first day of the course
- Accepted onto the acceleration programme
- Completed Level 1 coaching portfolio submitted to: peter.winn@englandicehockey.com
- Minimum 50 hours of coaching, verified and signed off by Club Team Coach
- Registered as an EIH Level 1 Coach or Temporary Level 2 Coach
Recommended Knowledge
- Strong understanding of the game of ice hockey
- Knowledge of rules and officiating principles
- Familiarity with coaching terminology and core coaching concepts
