EBAN is pleased to invite you to its first webinar within the scope of the Lean In EU Women Business Angels project, which aims to create the first European Community of Women Business Angels and boost female entrepreneurship.

From managing your capital to investing into start-ups: would you like to learn how to make a difference with your wealth? In this one-hour interactive webinar, Nanci Govinder, Deal Lead, Switzerland, Rising Tide Europe, and Cécile Sevrain, co-founder of Tiime and Director of Luxembourg Business Angel Network, will talk you through the basics of angel investing and how to get started investing as a business angel. You will also get the chance to be exposed to the fundamentals of impact investing.

Nanci Govinder

Nanci Govinder

Nanci Govinder is an astute, influential and highly motivated Senior Executive, Startup Coach, Business Angel and Board Member with a wealth of international business, R&D and marketing expertise. She has more than twenty years’ executive experience in the medtech sector, working for companies such as Medtronic and Johnson&Johnson, and most recently as managing director of a digital health startup company. In her current role as Head Coach West, for the Federal Innovation Promotion Agency of Switzerland (CTI), she manages a team of business coaches and supports close to a hundred high tech startup companies in the French speaking region to bring their ideas to commercialization. She is also the Deal Leader Switzerland, for Rising Tide Europe, an angel investment group of women investors across Europe. She is passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship and generates high energy, motivation and enthusiasm in teams. She also founded the Suisse Romande branch of the Healthcare Business Women’s Association, an international organization promoting the success and leadership of women in healthcare, was on the Board and a mentor. Nanci holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry and Applied Chemistry; an MBA; an Executive Coaching diploma and a B.Sc. degree in Holistic Counselling. She lives in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Cécile Sevrain

Cécile Sevrain

Cécile is the co-founder of Tiime (www.tiime.org), a European social impact catalyst which promotes the triple bottom line: people, planet & profit. She runs trainings and workshops for entrepreneurs, corporates and financial institutions. She also consults companies on sustainability.

In addition, Cecile is the Managing Director of the Luxembourg Business Angel Network (LBAN) and manages EBAN Impact as Program Officer, promoting awareness and engagement in impact investing within the European Business Angel Network.

She is an active business angel, notably in the Rising Tide program, which is part of a global movement to increase women’s participation in angel investing as an asset class. Cécile is a senior jury member at European pitching events.

Cécile is passionate about social impact and how social innovation can tackle the most pressing issues on this planet.

Marika Mazzi Boém

Marika Mazzi Boém

Marika Mazzi Boém, a serial entrepreneur and high skilled professional with a 25+ background experience in the field of action marketing, business strategy, international relations, cross-communication. A background in the marketing and advertising fields at WCJ (Young&Rubicam, now WPP group), she co-founded X23, a private research center and a business support organisation based in Rome, Milan and Padua and with branches in Europe. Marika is committed to support young entrepreneurs, startups and companies to boost their growth and their potentials onto the market. She is focused on innovation (in business, in ideas, in people, etc.), this drives her passion, fully convinced this is a powerful lever for us progressing as human beings and ultimately as businesses.

She believes in the outstanding power of networking and relations to create opportunities and for inspiring the change in most of the relevant social challenges our society is facing today.

She designed, led, and managed several international projects focused on different challenges and verticals (from cultural heritage to tech-food; from tourism to space downstream market sector and gender equality).

She created the Lean In the EU Women Business Angels Community project, the 1st EU community of Women Investors.

She plays the role of Industry Expert at the European Commission and currently leads X23 Business Unit.
