Eason are delighted to present DAV PILKEY, creator of the iconic DOG MAN series.

Join Dav Pilkey, the worldwide bestselling creator of DOG MAN, for a fun-filled event featuring favourite characters, tons of inspiration, and special sneak peeks at the RDS (Hall 7) on Sunday, February 23rd at 3pm.

With Pilkey’s trademark humour and heart, DOG MAN brings kids and families together with stories about friendship, love, bravery, empathy, and epic adventures.

Half dog, half man and all hero, DOG MAN is a number one bestselling global publishing phenomenon. BIG JIM BEGINS, the newest graphic novel in the Scholastic series, is out in December 2024. A Dog Man movie from DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures hits cinemas in Ireland in February 2025.

Dav Pilkey has been delighting kids and families with books that ignite their passion for reading. Don’t miss the chance to meet the award-winning author and illustrator Dav Pilkey – in Ireland for the first time in 10 years!

Following his event, Dav Pilkey will be happy to sign books bought from Eason at the event to support this local bookshop. Due to time constraints, Dav will be able to sign one book per person and no books from home. Thank you for your understanding.

Tickets for this event are €17, and include a €5 voucher, which can be used towards purchasing a copy of Dav Pilkey's books that will be on sale in the RDS by Eason on the day. The voucher is only redeemable at the event. One voucher can be used per book.

Everyone can receive a free Dog Man badge and there will also be an opportunity for people to get a selfie with the Dog Man costume character. Plus, you have the chance to win Easons Gift Vouchers, a drawing by Dav Pilkey, cool giveaways, and more!

EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS 

  • Your ticket entitles you to entry to Eason Presents: A Day with Dav Pilkey
  • The event will commence at 15:00 in Hall 7 of the RDS on February 23rd 2025
  • Tickets are €17 and are available to purchase on \[https://www\\\.easons\\\.com/\\\]\\\(https://www\\\.easons\\\.com/\\\)
  • Parents accompanying their children will require a ticket to gain entry.
  • Dav will be signing copies of Dog Man.
  • Each ticket includes a €5 credit, which can be applied to the purchase of any book on the day.
  • This credit is only valid for the duration of the event, and cannot be used at a later date.
  • Max of four tickets per order.
  • Should you not receive your email confirmation please contact marketing@easons.com.
  • Tickets shall not be purchased or obtained from or through any person, commercial agent, company or otherwise than directly by the applicant from Eason.
  • Any tickets advertised for resale will be void.
  • Management have the right to refuse entry or remove anyone who does not comply with these rules or who fails to follow reasonable instructions on the day.
  • Tickets are only valid for the date and location stated on the ticket.
  • Unfortunately due to the unique element of this event we cannot reserve or have copies signed for those unable to attend on the day.
  • Due to the nature of the event, the end time will be determined by the promoters on the day. We anticipate a maximum event duration of two hours.
  • Please note the event may be filmed, as an attendee you consent to footage of you being used for promotional purposes.
  • Anyone arriving to the venue earlier than 14:00 will be asked to return at the time mentioned.
  • Anyone under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. All attendees must have a ticket.
  • We cannot replace any lost tickets.
  • Must produce your ticket to gain entry to the event.
  • Eason reserve the right to amend or cancel this event without notice.
  • A photo opportunity will be available with Dav, so please feel free to bring your phones! Staff will be on hand to take your camera/phone to get a photo of you with Dav.
  • Please note only ONE photo per ticket holder permitted due to timing restrictions.
