Eason Presents: Chris Haughton in Conversation
Eason and DK are delighted to present Chris Haughton in conversation with Shane Hegarty to celebrate Culture Night on Friday, September 20th at 7:30pm in Eason, O'Connell Street. Chris will be discussing his newest book- his first foray into non-fiction - 'The History of Information'.
'The History of Information' is an utterly unique book that explains how the ways we share, and store information have shaped and changed the world - from the very first mark on a cave wall 50,000 years ago, through to the powerful AI which informs how we communicate and record information today.
The event is free to attend with copies of ‘The History of Information’ available to purchase in-store on the night. You can also pre-purchase the book, if you wish, below.

EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Your ticket entitles you to entry to Eason Presents: Chris Haughton in Eason, O'Connell Street. The event will commence at 7:30pm.
- Tickets are free for purchase, or you can purchase a book-and-ticket for€19.99 and are available to purchase on www.easons.com.
- While children are welcome to attend this event, this book and event are aimed at an adult audience.
- You will be required to show your ticket on the day of the event, to gain entry, and as proof of purchase.
- Ticket holders will receive their copy of the book at the event.
- Those without tickets will be turned away.
- Max of four tickets per order.
- Latecomers may be refused admission.
- Should you not receive your email confirmation please contact marketing@easons.com.
- Tickets shall not be purchased or obtained from or through any person, commercial agent, company or otherwise than directly by the applicant from Eason.
- Any tickets advertised for resale will be void.
- Management have the right to refuse entry or remove anyone who does not comply with these rules or who fails to follow reasonable instructions on the day.
- Tickets are only valid for the date and location stated on the ticket.
- Unfortunately, due to the unique nature of this event we cannot reserve or have copies signed for those unable to attend on the day.
- Due to the nature of the event, the end time will be determined by the promoters on the day. We anticipate a maximum event duration of two hours.
- Please note the event may be filmed, as an attendee you consent to footage of you being used for promotional purposes.
- Anyone arriving to the venue earlier than 7:00pm will be asked to return at the time mentioned.
- Anyone under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. All attendees must have a ticket.
- We cannot replace any lost tickets.
- Must produce your ticket to gain entry to the event.
