Eason Presents: AI Guide for Senior Cycle Students, with co-authors Katie Liston and Rita Bateson
Eason are delighted to present an hour with Dr Katie Liston and Rita Bateson, of Inspire Education and Eblana Learning, respectively, who will launch their exclusive AI Guide for Senior Cycle Students.
Together, they will discuss their shared passions in learning and AI, why cognitive atrophy is real and how the Guide will equip young people with the knowledge and skills to use AI safely and ethically. They will also engage in a Q&A.

Katie and Rita will present an overview of the AI Guide and explain the emphasis in each section on learning, ethics, the risk-return balance, and practical student-facing activities. All of this aims to keeps the student in the driver’s seat of their own learning.
In the past year, Inspire Education has worked with around 100,000 Irish students. At least 75 per cent of these said they use AI for school-related tasks, including study, revision and coursework. This use is both evolving and is largely unmonitored, posing the question of whether AI is a ‘wild west’ for students.
Eblana Learning supports international schools to implement ethical, practical approaches to emerging technologies and to equip young people with the confidence, judgement and skills to thrive in an AI-enabled future.

- Tickets are €10 (redeemable in-store) and are available to purchase on www.easons.com.
- Your ticket at €10 is a voucher which can be redeemable against Inspire Education products purchased on the day. This voucher can only be used to purchase products on the day at the venue specified. You cannot use this voucher at a later date.
- You will be required to show your ticket on the day of the event, to gain entry, and as proof of purchase.
- Entry to the event is by ticket only.
- Those without tickets will be turned away.
- Max of four tickets per order.
- Latecomers may be refused admission.

- Tickets shall not be purchased or obtained from or through any person, commercial agent, company or otherwise than directly by the applicant from Eason.

- Anyone arriving to the venue earlier than 10:45am may be asked to return at the time mentioned.
