We have all heard the phrase AI slop. Generative AI images are everywhere. In this talk we shall discuss the strengthens and weaknesses of these images and how to avoid common mistakes to get to the image you want with the least number of revisions.
Speaker Bios
Stephen Finn (Dundee Photographer + Tour Guide + Content creator)
After a short uneventful career in science Stephen stumbled into photography and after photographing Dundee waterfront's makeover he accidentally became a tour guide as well. One wet January in 2026 he decided to delve deep into the world of generative AI image and video creation and discovered some startling results.
Join Stephen on a journey into the surreal plane of Generative AI a parallel universe where anything is possible. This presentation will include practical steps for creating images with Midjourney but also hilarious results.

- How to refine that image to what you actually wanted

- How to create consistent images
- How to make an 8 minute spoof action movie
Yes indeedy, the talks finale will be the big screen premiere of “That AI Action Movie” a spoof action movie set in that parallel universe incorporating many bizarre scenes that Stephen stumbled upon whilst working on another project.
