First Pi Jam
- You have a WIP Pi project, or one you want to work on?
- You want to learn what a Pi about?
- Or you know what a Pi is, but what can you do besides making an LED light up with a button, or make sounds with a buzzer?
Come join us at our first Raspberry Pi Jam kindly hosted by Science Gallery Dublin and it's FREE.
Please note, this is an 18+ event
We will have 3 activities:
Beginners: Introduction to Raspberry Pis before joining the rest of the Intermediate groups. Hopefully we have some borrowed Pis to get people acquainted with it.
Intermediate: Know what a Raspberry Pi is and connected a button, this group will be shown what else you can do with Raspberry Pi and other components. This will be self-driven tutorial and we will have a few mentors to help with any questions.
Hobbyists: Those who have projects already, or have one they want to start, and are comfortable with electronics. This group will be connecting and sharing knowledge as well as demoing their project.

Q. Do I need to bring anything?
Bring a laptop.
Science Gallery shop has limited supply of Raspberry Pis and electronic components you can buy, please check in with them in advance. Other than that, we recommend that you order your own electronics from the following online stores:

Beginners - New to Raspberry Pi
If you are completely new to Raspberry Pis, we have a few Pis for beginners workshop, this is on loan and not yours to takeaway.
Intermediate attendees
As you are familiar with Pis, please bring your own, we won't be supplying any Pis and only some components to show how to expand what you can do with your Pis.
Hobbyists
If you already have project(s), bring all that you need for the jam. We won't have any components, only enough to demo to those new to Raspberry Pis and electronics.

No; you can drop downstairs and purchase your own food and drinks at the Science Gallery Café, feel free to bring it back to the jam room.
