Talk 1 - Live Coding with Spring Music: Top 5 Ways to Deploy Java to the Cloud

In this live-coding 'slide-free session' using Linux command line tools, open source tools such as Jenkins, and other free SDKs and tools available on GitHub, Brian will demonstrate the easiest ways for Java developers to deliver their Java code to the cloud using Spring Music as an example. He'll show deployment to VMs, containers, Kubernetes, Web apps, and a full CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins.

The examples, tools and demos that he shows will be applicable to any cloud platform, and all are available on GitHub..

Talk 2 - Top ways for Java developers to get serverless on Azure

After a brief introduction to Azure functions, Brian will show you how to deliver and maintain Java serverless functionality in the cloud. The focus will be on real-world examples with working demos using Linux command line tools, Eclipse, VS Code, and Azure, as well as other free SDKs and tools available on GitHub.
