Talk 1: Proxy Power: Boosting Java App Performance with Open JDBC Proxy
Rogerio Robetti will explore the crucial role that database proxies play in building robust, high-performance Java applications. He will introduce OJP (Open JDBC Proxy), an open-source tool designed to simplify and optimize database connectivity, especially under heavy load.
The talk will cover why using a proxy can make a real difference in resource management, stability, and scalability. Rogerio will share detailed performance testing results comparing OJP with direct JDBC connections to highlight its impact on throughput and efficiency.
To wrap up, he will demonstrate OJP in action with a live demo, showing how easy it is to integrate and the benefits it brings to real-world workloads.
